“Experience Taiwan Together!” – Asia University (AU) International Students Step Out of the Classroom to Explore Taiwan
A highlight of the trip was a visit to Sicao in Tainan, where participants toured Dazhong Temple and explored the renowned Sicao Green Tunnel, often referred to as the “Mini Amazon,” by raft. Departing from Zhuge Port, Taiwan’s first artificial canal, they glided through the tranquil waterways beneath a lush canopy of mangrove trees while observing the area’s rich ecosystem, including Bischofia javanica, fiddler crabs, and mudskippers. The visit offered participants a unique opportunity to appreciate Taiwan’s ecological conservation efforts while experiencing the natural beauty and historical significance of the century-old canal.
